On the boys basketball court, the Mustangs are finding difficulty besting their competitors, while their younger cohorts continue to bring in the victories.
The varsity Mustangs lost their Wednesday game to Carmel, 48-77, as did the JV Broncos, 30-46, but the freshmen Ponies prevailed 59-50.
"The guys came out and played a really aggressive defense and put us in a good position early on in the game," said Ponies Coach Chente Lopez of last Wednesday's game.
"Its our third game against them," Lopez said. "We lost to them in the last couple seconds the last time. Buddy Sans, Jake Stevens and Alexis Garcia did a great job getting the ball to the basket for us, and I think that was a big difference for us."
