The Soledad High School varsity soccer team played hard to the very end against Stevenson on Jan. 28, on the Stevenson home field.

The final score was 3-2 in favor of Stevenson. The game was player on a very wet grassy field. Earlier in the week Soledad fought to a tie against Gonzales High School.

The first half of action against Stevenson saw the visiting Soledad team control the action against the home team. Stevenson made a serious goal attempt that was blocked by the Soledad defense. The Coach and entire bench were on their feet with the early game save. Soledad player Emmanuel Tejeda (9) hit for the any early first goal as the Soledad team brought the ball up the side of the field past the Soledad bench.
